INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT OFFICE

Vision

To support the attainment of better and advanced academic and administrative management by maintaining, enchancing and effectively embracing innovation of technologies for teaching, research and service.

Mission

Achieving this vision will require extensive collaboration and partnering among the academic and administrative organizations in order to provide:

  1. Easy access to information through the World Wide Web.
  2. Support of university's mission through adaptive and innovative use of information techonology.
  3. Support the broadening of DLSAU's educational courses, programs and resources to students within and beyond through the use of variety of distance learning technologies and relevant data.
  4. Easy access to meaningful and relevant data.
  5. Contribute to a better and efficient management.
  6. To support academic programs notably in the computer related courses.
  7. Contribute to the responsible use of computing in all levels of DLS-AU community
  8. Acquisition and provision of new, cost-effective information technologies to the university to keep DLS-AU as current anf competitive as possible.
  9. Provide a higly reliable infrastructure and set of computer-based administrative, teaching, learning and research tools to meet the ever-growing needs of DLS-AU staff and faculty.
  10. Reasonably protect information resources and systems from illegal access and use.
  11. Contribute to the realization of Vision-Mission of DLS-AU.

Policies

This section defines the boundaries for the “acceptable use” of the universities electronic resources, including software, hardware devices, and network systems. Hardware devices, software programs, and network systems purchased and provided by the universities are to be used only for creating, researching, and processing university-related materials. By using the university’s hardware, software and network systems users assume personal responsibility for their appropriate use and agree to comply with this policy and other applicable university policies, e-commerce and regulations.
